What cleaning method do you use?
We use hot water extraction, also known as carpet shampooing – the most effective and recommended method for deep carpet cleaning. It involves injecting hot water and cleaning solution into the carpet fibres, then extracting the dirt, allergens, and moisture with a powerful machine.
What’s the difference between steam cleaning and hot water extraction?
Although the terms are often used interchangeably, there is a difference:
Steam cleaning uses dry steam at high temperatures and is best for sanitising.
Hot water extraction uses hot water and detergent, which penetrates deep into carpet fibres and is more effective for stain removal and deep dirt extraction.
How long does carpet cleaning take?
On average, it takes 20–40 minutes per room, depending on: • Room size • Level of soiling • Type and number of stains • Pre-treatment requirements
Will you move furniture during the cleaning?
Yes – our technician will move light furniture (e.g., chairs, small tables) to clean underneath and put it back after the job. We recommend removing any fragile or valuable items in advance to avoid damage.
Are you insured in case something goes wrong?
Yes. Parla Cleaning is fully insured, and we cover accidental damage that may occur during cleaning. If something goes wrong, we’ll take care of it responsibly.
Can you remove all stains?
We do our best! Hot water extraction is very effective for most stains. However, we cannot guarantee 100% stain removal, especially for older or set-in stains. Please let us know in advance about any specific stains so we can pre-treat them appropriately.
How long does it take for the carpet to dry?
Carpets usually take 4–7 hours to dry, depending on: • Ventilation • Room temperature • Carpet thickness and pile Good airflow and open windows help speed up the drying process.
Can I combine carpet cleaning with other services?
Yes – many clients combine it with: • Mattress cleaning • Upholstery cleaning • End of tenancy or deep cleaning
What is your cancellation policy?
We ask for at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling. A £50 fee applies if you cancel with less than 24 hours’ notice or if we cannot access the property at the scheduled time.
Do I need to provide parking?
Yes – our equipment is heavy, so we’ll need parking close to the property. If a parking permit is not provided, any parking or congestion charges will be added to your invoice.
